Pancakes!

We all woke up happy and restful this morning so ... It was a good morning to make pancakes! Plus I had everything on hand (I'm usually always missing some key ingredient ... Flour, eggs)

Under blankets

Here are Wesley & Claire with their beautiful baby blankets made by our good friend -  she made them especially for each of the kids as gifts for the baby showers. They are so lucky to have these to cherish their whole lives.

Wesley's is crocheted and Claire's in knitted. They are really amazingly beautiful!

They loved cuddling under the blankets this morning together. Each time I finished taking photos, Wesley would say, "No all done." So I was forced to take 20 more!

2 month check up

Claire had her 2-month doctor visit this week and she is a thriving baby!

My baby girl is 22.6" long (60%) and a whopping 12.3lbs (83%)!

I am still exclusively breast feeding and that is all she needs apparently. This news made Matt and I so happy. It also helps that all of my "mom friends" breast feed and so when we get together we can help each other out.  The best part is seeing her grow in these photos!

I did one of these for Wesley and the conclusion was that he was the mailman's son. I think this one is pretty obvious that Claire is our baby!

In my opinion, she's a perfect mix of the two of us.

Splash Park Birthday

It just seems like Wesley's 2-year old birthday never ends... but this is it! 

Saturday we had a little birthday party for our friends and their kids, who are all Wesley's age, at a local splash park.

We had pizza and homemade cupcakes à la Mickey Mouse (courtesy of yours truly).

The kids splashed in the water and played in the sandbox.

The dads watched the kids (always appreciated) while the moms chatted it up.

And even Obama visited -- well, he flew overhead...

It was a great afternoon ... and we left quite pooped out.
